Centralized system era begins for insurance damage reporting

The Insurance and Private Pension Regulation and Supervision Agency (SEDDK) has taken a comprehensive step to simplify damage reporting processes in the sector. With the launch of the centralized "Alo 193 Joint Damage Reporting Center" (OHİM), in which all insurance companies are integrated, damage applications for traffic and motor insurance will now be received through a single line.

According to the announcement made by the agency, this new practice is intended to both facilitate transactions for citizens and prevent abuse in cases of loss of value disputes, which are frequently encountered in the sector. The SEDDK has created a five-step action plan and completed the first four steps in a short time. With the OHİM, which is being implemented as the final step, anyone who has taken out insurance will no longer have to apply to different companies separately for damage reporting.

Following approximately one year of technical work, the centralized application period via the Alo 193 line will begin as of September 1. In the first phase, reports regarding traffic and motor insurance policies will be accepted; expanding the scope of service to other branches in the future is also on the agenda.

With the activation of the new system, it is expected that disputes experienced in the resolution of loss of value damages will decrease and citizens will save time in application processes. It is noted that the application will increase transaction security and efficiency in the insurance sector.
