FTSE Russell removes 24 Turkish companies from its indices in semi-annual review

FTSE Russell has removed 24 Turkish companies from its indices as part of its September semi-annual review. According to the announcement published on the company's website on August 21, the changes will take effect after the close of trading on September 18.

The companies removed from the indices include A1 Yenilenebilir, Arena Bilgisayar, BMS Çelik Hasır, Çimbeton, Dardanel, Denge Yatırım Holding, Frigo-Pak Gıda, Horoz Lojistik, İhlas Madencilik, Kafein Yazılım, Kontrolmatik, Makina Takım, Meka Beton, Netaş, Nurol REIT, Onur Yüksek Teknoloji, Osmanlı Menkul, Ostim Endüstriyel, Otto Holding, Pınar Süt, RTA Laboratuvarları, Sanica Isı, Selva Gıda, and Trend REIT.

In the statement, the reason cited for the removal of Kontrolmatik from the index was "failure to meet monitoring criteria." For the other companies, the reason given was "failure to meet the investable market capitalization criteria."

As part of the review, the status of İmaş Makina also changed. The company was moved from the small-cap index to the micro-cap index.
