3 letters on e-Devlet cut the pensions of thousands! Repayment with interest will be demanded

Audits regarding allegations of fake insurance have been increased in Turkey. The Social Security Institution has launched a comprehensive investigation to detect fraudulent insurance declarations using digital data analysis and artificial intelligence technologies.

As part of the efforts, individuals who have gained retirement rights by paying premiums from the outside without actually working at a workplace, or who are trying to complete the number of days required for retirement, have been placed under scrutiny.

AI-SUPPORTED AUDIT

With the new system implemented by the SGK, insurance records are being examined through digital analysis methods. In particular, short-term insurance entries and declarations made through shell companies have become the focus of the audits.

It has been reported that the retirement procedures of approximately 650 thousand people, who were determined to have made fraudulent insurance declarations within the last 5 years, have been canceled during the ongoing investigations.

CODES ON e-DEVLET DRAW ATTENTION

It is stated that the fastest way for citizens to learn whether they are affected by the audits is to examine their service records via e-Devlet.

Certain letter codes appearing in the service record are considered an important indicator in this process.

WHAT DO THE "K, Ş, AND S" CODES MEAN?

The meanings of the codes seen in the service record are reported as follows:

"K" code: Indicates that the workplace is under investigation.

"Ş" code: Expresses that there is a suspicion of irregularity.

"S" code: Symbolizes that the fake insurance has been confirmed.

Experts state that records containing the "S" code are deleted from the system and that retirement rights granted based on these premiums are considered invalid.

PENSIONS ARE CUT, FUNDS ARE DEMANDED BACK

If fake insurance is detected, it is not limited to just cutting the pension.

The SGK can demand the repayment of the pension payments made up to that day, as well as the cost of health services provided, along with legal interest.

LEGAL PROCEEDINGS CAN BE INITIATED

Legal proceedings can also be initiated against individuals determined to have obtained fake insurance as a result of the audits.

In this context, it is stated that lawsuits can be filed on charges of "forgery of official documents," and if repayments are not made, foreclosure procedures can be applied.

Authorities state that citizens should regularly check their insurance service records to avoid grievances.

It is recommended to apply to the SGK without delay if a suspicious situation is encountered.
