Exorbitant prices, which have left citizens in a difficult situation due to high inflation and the cost of living, will be on the agenda of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey in the new week.

All eyes will be on the legislative proposal to combat exorbitant prices to be discussed in the TBMM in the new week.

The AKP has prepared a legislative proposal to combat exorbitant prices. It is planned to amend the Turkish Commercial Code with the 23-article legislative proposal.

Within the scope of the regulation, the fines imposed on businesses that disrupt market balance will also be increased.

FINES ARE INCREASING

The fine imposed on businesses found to be charging exorbitant prices will be increased from 100 thousand liras to 1 million liras, and the fine applied to those who engage in hoarding will be increased from 1 million liras to 12 million liras.

CLOSURE PENALTY FOR HOARDING

If it is determined that businesses continuing to engage in hoarding have committed this offense 3 times in one year, a closure penalty of up to 6 days may be applied.

INTERNATIONAL AGREEMENTS IN THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY

The Parliamentary General Assembly will work on international agreements this week.

Numerous agreements, including those signed with Qatar and Uzbekistan, will be discussed in the General Assembly.

CHANGES TO THE ORGANIZATIONAL STRUCTURE OF THE MINISTRY OF NATIONAL DEFENSE

Another proposal planned to be submitted to the Speaker of the Parliament this week includes changes to the organizational structure of the Ministry of National Defense.

A legislative proposal that will enable the establishment of the Foreign Policy Institute and a proposal containing regulations regarding crypto assets are also expected to be submitted to the parliament this week.

GROUP MEETINGS ON TUESDAY AND WEDNESDAY

Party leaders will also address deputies from the parliamentary podium this week.

The parties' group meetings will take place on Tuesday and Wednesday.
