Major hike in diesel prices! What are the new prices in Istanbul, Ankara, and Izmir?
A price hike of 2.92 TL per liter of diesel went into effect at midnight. The price in Izmir has risen to 84.12 TL, and in some eastern provinces, it has exceeded 85 TL.
The rise in diesel prices in global markets has been reflected in pump prices in Turkey as a new hike. A price increase of 2 lira and 92 kurus per liter of diesel was implemented as of midnight.
Following the hike, the price per liter of diesel exceeded 82 lira in Istanbul, 83 lira in Ankara, and 84 lira in Izmir. It is reported that in some provinces in Eastern Anatolia, the price of diesel has surpassed 85 lira.
It is stated that the developments around the Strait of Hormuz and the pressure created on global oil and product markets by Ukraine's attacks on oil refineries in Russia are effective in the price increase.
