New decision from EMRA regarding electricity tariffs! The rate has been determined
With the EMRA decision, the transmission surcharge to be applied in 2027 has been fixed at 0.5 percent of the TEİAŞ transmission tariff.
The decision of the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA) regarding the 2027 transmission surcharge has been published in the Official Gazette. With this decision, the rate of the transmission surcharge to be applied by the Turkish Electricity Transmission Corporation (TEİAŞ) has been clarified.
Accordingly, the transmission surcharge will be applied at a rate of 0.5 percent of the TEİAŞ transmission tariff. Within this scope, TEİAŞ will calculate the resulting amounts on a monthly basis and transfer them to EMRA accounts by the 25th of the following month.
The regulation will enter into force as of January 1, 2027. It was stated that the decision covers the internal transfer rate made over the transmission tariff and will not directly reflect any additional costs on the bills of residential, commercial, or industrial subscribers.
