The increase in fuel and LPG prices has also been reflected in kitchen gas cylinders. As of November 3, the price of a 12-kilogram household gas cylinder in Ankara rose from 1,680 TL to 1,900 TL. This marks a single-step increase of 220 TL.
Industry sources pointed out that increases in LPG and autogas prices are generally reflected in prices on a monthly basis, expressing expectations for a new price hike at the beginning of December. Sources stated that with a potential increase, the 2,000 TL threshold for a 12-kilogram cylinder could be surpassed.
The same sources commented, "The 2,000 TL threshold will be exceeded, reaching a historic level."
It is noted that the rise in global energy markets, exchange rates, and tax increases are effective behind the price hike. Recently, new levels have also been seen in gasoline, diesel, and autogas prices; the price of a liter of diesel has exceeded 100 TL, while a liter of gasoline has surpassed 80 TL.
With a 9 lira 3 kuruş hike in autogas, the price per liter has reached 52 TL in some provinces. In addition to household cylinders, there has also been an increase in picnic cylinders; the 2-kilogram picnic cylinder rose from 375 TL to 420 TL.
