Strong picture in Iran's foreign exchange and gold reserves draws attention

Important details regarding Iran's economic assets have been shared with the public. Tehran Mayor Alireza Zakani announced the current figures regarding the country's foreign exchange and gold reserves at a meeting held in the city of Mashhad.

Zakani stated, "There is over 36 billion dollars in foreign exchange and gold available at the Central Bank of Iran," drawing attention to the fact that the country is in a strong position regarding its foreign exchange reserves.

In addition, he noted that the amount of liquidity in circulation and accessible to the public has reached the level of 130 billion dollars. This development points to the scale of the money supply in the national economy.

The Mayor of Tehran also emphasized that the production and supply chain for basic necessities is functioning strongly. Zakani stated that essential consumer goods required for the coming months have already been stored and that no shortages or disruptions are expected.

In his remarks, Zakani also stated that, with the contributions of the state and relevant institutions, negative rhetoric that would worry citizens should be avoided, and he requested that "statements of a nature that would create anxiety and lead to hopelessness among the public be avoided."
