Turkish linguist Derya Şahin becomes official presenter for peace summit in London

Award-winning Turkish linguist Derya Şahin will serve as the official presenter at the International Humanitarian Peace Award 2026, to be held in London, the capital of the United Kingdom.

The event, organized by the Institute of International Peace Leaders (IIPL) and LOB’IN International, will take place on September 2, 2026, under the theme “Together for Peace, Humanity and Global Solidarity.” It was stated that the organization is planned as an international gathering that references the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and the UN Global Compact vision.

High-level participation is expected from more than 20 countries, including Turkey, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, Pakistan, Liberia, Nigeria, France, Jordan, Italy, and The Gambia. It was reported that ministers, members of parliament, diplomats, academics, international corporate executives, religious leaders, and opinion leaders will attend the summit.

It was reported that Şahin was announced with the title of “Official Presenter” on the official event poster published by the IIPL. Throughout the program, Şahin will present sessions featuring speakers from different countries, manage the protocol flow, and undertake the stage editing for the evening.

It was also noted that Derya Şahin will be among the individuals honored with an international award at the ceremony within the scope of the organization for her work in the fields of education, linguistics, and international communication.
