What yielded the highest returns in June?
When adjusted by the Consumer Price Index (CPI), the highest monthly real return in June was achieved by deposit interest (gross) at 1.62 percent.
The Turkish Statistical Institute has announced the "real return rates of financial investment instruments" for June.
Accordingly, the highest monthly real return in June was achieved by deposit interest (gross) at 1.88 percent when adjusted by the Domestic Producer Price Index (D-PPI) and 1.62 percent when adjusted by the Consumer Price Index (CPI).
When adjusted by the D-PPI, among investment instruments, government domestic debt securities (GDDS) provided a real return of 0.87 percent, while the dollar caused a loss of 0.37 percent, the euro 0.77 percent, the BIST 100 index 1.41 percent, and gold bullion 1.53 percent for investors.
When adjusted by the CPI, while GDDS yielded a return of 0.61 percent, the dollar caused a loss of 0.63 percent, the euro 1.02 percent, the BIST 100 index 1.66 percent, and gold bullion 1.78 percent.
In the three-month evaluation, the BIST 100 index stood out as the investment instrument providing the highest real return to its investors, with 8.73 percent when adjusted by the D-PPI and 7.41 percent when adjusted by the CPI.
During the same period, the euro was recorded as the investment instrument that caused the most loss to its investors, with 5.98 percent when adjusted by the D-PPI and 7.12 percent when adjusted by the CPI.
According to the six-month evaluation, the BIST 100 index was the investment instrument providing the highest real return to its investors, with 13.35 percent when adjusted by the D-PPI and 8.59 percent when adjusted by the CPI. In the same period, GDDS was calculated as the investment instrument causing the most loss to its investors, with 10.89 percent when adjusted by the D-PPI and 14.63 percent when adjusted by the CPI.
BIST 100 WAS THE INSTRUMENT WITH THE HIGHEST ANNUAL RETURN
When financial investment instruments were evaluated annually, the BIST 100 index stood out as the investment instrument providing the highest real return to its investors, with 28.18 percent when adjusted by the D-PPI and 12.12 percent when adjusted by the CPI.
In the annual evaluation, when adjusted by the D-PPI, among investment instruments, gold bullion provided a real return of 11.42 percent to its investors, while the dollar caused a loss of 6.65 percent, the euro 7.12 percent, deposit interest (gross) 19.55 percent, and GDDS 39.45 percent.
When adjusted by the CPI, gold bullion caused a loss of 2.55 percent, the dollar 18.35 percent, the euro 18.76 percent, deposit interest (gross) 29.63 percent, and GDDS 47.04 percent for investors.
