Breaking News... 2026 LGS placement results announced: Where can you view the results?

The placement results for secondary education institutions under the 2026 High School Transition System (LGS) have been announced. Following the completion of preference applications on July 27, students can now access their placement results through the Ministry of National Education's official website.

Candidates will be able to learn their results by entering their Turkish ID number, school number, and date of birth on the MEB result inquiry screen. Along with the placement results, the remaining vacant quotas have also been announced at meb.gov.tr.

This year, 1 million 22 thousand 658 students at the 8th-grade level applied for the centralized exam under the LGS. The exam was held in 4 thousand 244 schools across 81 provinces and 920 districts domestically, in 64 thousand 697 classrooms. Abroad, it was administered in 40 classrooms across 11 exam centers in 8 countries.

In the first session of the two-part exam, students answered 50 questions in the verbal section, consisting of Turkish, History of the Turkish Republic and Atatürkism, Religious Culture and Moral Knowledge, and Foreign Language. In the second session, a total of 40 questions were asked in Mathematics and Science.

For students who were not placed in their preferred school in the first round or who wish to change their placement, applications for the first round of transfer preferences based on placement will be accepted between August 5 and August 7, 2026. The results of this process will be announced on August 10.

The second round of transfer preference applications will take place between August 10 and August 12, 2026, and the results will be announced on August 14. For students who were not placed in any school, applications to provincial and district student placement and transfer commissions will be accepted between August 17 and August 26; commission placements will be completed on August 28.

Boarding applications will be accepted by schools and institutions between August 31 and September 3, 2026. Boarding placement results will be announced on September 4, and registration procedures will be carried out via e-Pansiyon.
