The mid-term and semester break periods in schools have been clarified with the Ministry of National Education's academic calendar. In the new academic year that began in September, students will take their first mid-term break in November.
According to the calendar, the November mid-term break will turn into a total of a 9-day rest period including the weekends. Following this break, students will return to classes and continue the first semester.
The semester break will begin at the end of January. The period, known in the public as the "15-day break," will be the first long break of the academic year for students and teachers.
The MEB calendar states that the second semester mid-term break will take place between March 8-12. Thus, students will have the opportunity for a short break in the second semester as well, including the weekends.
Parents and students can follow the school closing calendar and mid-term break dates through the official academic calendar published by the Ministry of National Education.
