Details of the new stadium project, which is on the agenda to be allocated to Fenerbahçe, continue to be debated by the public. Fenerbahçe President Aziz Yıldırım had announced that it was proposed that the new 75,000-seat stadium, planned for the EURO 2032 final, be allocated to the club and that Fenerbahçe move from the Şükrü Saracoğlu Stadium.
According to information obtained, the project is designed not only for football matches but also to host concerts, special shows, and various organizations at different times of the year. In this respect, the facility's usage capacity outside of match days is also at the center of the plan.
REVENUE AND TRANSPORTATION GOAL
One of the most striking aspects of the project is the transportation infrastructure. It is envisioned that the new stadium will be supported by sea transport and metro connections, and planned with a system that allows 80,000 people to enter and exit within 40 minutes. This goal is considered critical for managing spectator flow, especially during large events.
The use of the stadium for non-football events is targeted to provide Fenerbahçe with an additional annual revenue of 170 million euros. This item represents an operating model that will take the club's stadium revenues beyond match tickets and luxury boxes.
According to the report by Oda TV, the new stadium is intended to be one of the prominent facilities not only in Turkey but also on a European scale in terms of modernity and usage opportunities. Within the scope of the project, the facility is planned to be built with a "fifth-generation stadium" concept.
Sources state that while the RAMS Park, where Galatasaray plays its matches, is considered a third-generation stadium, the new facility on the agenda for Fenerbahçe is handled with a more advanced concept. The project is also aimed to be one of the iconic structures that will contribute to Turkey's international promotion.
The final decision on whether the stadium will be allocated to Fenerbahçe and how the club's relocation process from its current stadium will take shape has not yet been announced to the public. At the center of the debate are both sporting use and the club's long-term economic planning.
