New statement from Minister Tekin: No security issue in LGS, but there is an investigation!

Minister of National Education Yusuf Tekin made statements regarding the allegations of irregularities in the LGS that have occupied the public agenda.

Minister Tekin stated that all measures regarding exam security were taken in accordance with ÖSYM standards and that an extraordinary process was being experienced.

Minister Tekin noted that the exam questions were prepared by teachers and that academic support was received from universities when necessary. He also said that they had transparently published the technical information from analysis reports prepared in previous years.

Stating that the mobile phones of the relevant individuals were collected on the day of the exam and that the necessary evaluations were made, Tekin emphasized that no problems regarding exam security had been detected. However, he announced that the investigation process was ongoing and that an investigation had been opened into 29 people, including those holding various public duties. He stated that these individuals had been suspended from their duties by the governor's office for the integrity of the investigation.
