Teachers demand the resignation of Minister Yusuf Tekin

Teachers who gathered in front of the Ministry of National Education protested the injustices experienced during the interview process. The teachers demanded that Minister Yusuf Tekin step down from his post, drawing attention to the problems faced by victims of the interview system.

Stating that they have been struggling for 219 days, the teachers said, "There is no deputy or union we haven't met with. Everyone says we are right, but there is no solution. Minister Tekin had told us, 'Even if you are 100 percent right, there is nothing to be done.' What kind of approach is this?"

ERRORS IN THE INTERVIEW PROCESS

The teachers stated that the errors made during the interviews are unacceptable. They said, "There are errors such as recording 17 for someone who scored 19 on the rubric, or giving 16 to someone who scored 17. These errors affect the interview process as a whole." They also demanded the implementation of court rulings.

Eğitim Sen Chairman Kemal Irmak also stated in a press release, "Serious injustices were committed in the interviews. Evaluations were made based on subjective criteria, and thousands of education workers were victimized. The Ministry must either listen to this situation or resign honorably."

The teachers argued that the interview system should be abolished and that the problems cannot be solved unless Minister Tekin resigns. They expressed their reaction by saying, "He himself is the source of the problem."
