Turkey's new Susurluk... Will the operation expand? The codes behind that much-discussed photo

Following the detention of Mehmet Akif Ersoy and 7 others in recent days, Sabah newspaper columnist Dilek Güngör made a statement that shook the agenda with a photo she shared.

The photo showed 19 people, including Ersoy. In the note she wrote under the photo, Güngör claimed the image contained 'deep' connections, stating, "Isn't that MHP lawyer Serkan Toper with his hand on the shoulder of the detained lawyer Rezan Epözdemir? And next to Rezan Epözdemir is Mehmet Akif Ersoy, who was arrested yesterday... Wow. Who is with whom?"

In her post, Güngör pointed out that this photo would leave its mark on the drug operation involving Habertürk.

She also made a statement saying, "A secret witness has revealed it. From what I hear, Ela Rümeysa Cebeci's phone records will also create an earthquake in the worlds of economy, sports, politics, and tabloid media. This file is a candidate to become a political Susurluk."

It was noted that lawyer Rezan Epözdemir was right next to Ersoy in the shared photo. Additionally, journalist Emrullah Erdinç and MHP lawyer Serkan Toper are also in this frame.

Serkan Toper is seen in the photo with his hand on Rezan Epözdemir's shoulder. After the photo became a public issue, claims that these individuals had been detained were denied.

Journalist Fuat Kozluklu, known from TRT Haber, is also in the photo frame. Furthermore, as part of the investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, Tolga Aykut, the owner of Mahzen Medya, a known figure in the tabloid world, was also detained and it was stated that he was in this photo.

Mehmet Akif Ersoy was recently removed from his position as Editor-in-Chief of Habertürk, which had been placed under trusteeship. While Ersoy and three others were detained, the other four were released under judicial control.

The accusations against Ersoy include serious crimes such as forcing individuals into group sex, drug trafficking, and establishing an organization. In connection with these accusations, famous presenters such as Ela Rümeysa Cebeci, Hande Sarıoğlu, and Meltem Acet had previously been called in to testify.
