AKOM issues warning: Northeasterly winds and downpours to persist in Istanbul for days
Istanbul residents will see little of the sun in the coming days; the city will face rainfall and cold winds.
The gloomy weather that began in Istanbul over the weekend will continue throughout the new week. AKOM is warning city residents to be cautious due to the northeasterly wind (poyraz) expected to blow strongly from the north. It was reported that the wind will blow at speeds of 30 to 65 kilometers per hour, reaching storm force, and that temperatures will remain noticeably low.
The cold air wave, which will continue without interruption, will cause a cloudy sky across Istanbul. Rain is expected for the majority of the day throughout the city for the next six days. According to the statement made by the authorities, no precipitation is expected only on Thursday, March 26. Intermittent rain showers are forecast for all other days.

As the end of March approaches, it is stated that temperature values will remain between 10 and 13 degrees. The fact that air temperatures will hover below seasonal norms requires citizens going out to take precautions.
It seems that the first days of spring in Istanbul will be spent with more wind and rain than sunshine.
