Forest fire in Ezine, Çanakkale brought under control: Cooling efforts continue in the region
A fire that started in a grassy area and spread to a forested area in the Ezine district of Çanakkale has been brought under control following the intervention of teams.
A forest fire that broke out in the Ezine district of Çanakkale has been brought under control as a result of the intensive efforts of the Regional Directorate of Forestry teams.
The fire started for an as-yet-undetermined reason in a grassy area in the Gökçebayır locality of Ezine at approximately 19:20. The flames, fueled by the wind, spread to the forested area in a short time.

Upon notification, teams affiliated with the Regional Directorate of Forestry were dispatched to the region. With the intervention of the teams on the ground, the fire was brought under control at approximately 23:50.
It was reported that cooling efforts are continuing in the region to prevent the fire from reigniting.
