Yellow alert from Meteorology for 13 cities: Temperatures to drop by 10 degrees, storms and downpours are coming!

According to the latest assessments by the General Directorate of Meteorology: The country is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with precipitation expected in Marmara, the Inner Aegean, the Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, the Black Sea, Eastern Anatolia, the north and east of Southeastern Anatolia, and the east of Şanlıurfa. The precipitation, which is expected to be generally in the form of rain and downpours, thunderstorms in the south and central parts, and sleet and snow in the high altitudes of the inner parts of the Western and Central Black Sea, the north of Central Anatolia, and the high altitudes of the North Aegean, is estimated to be locally heavy in the east of Central Anatolia, the inner parts of the Eastern Mediterranean, the east of Burdur, the inner parts of Antalya, Isparta, Ordu, Tokat, Tunceli, Bingöl, Muş, Bitlis, Siirt, and Batman, as well as the west of Konya, the east of Samsun, and the north and east of Diyarbakır.

Air temperatures, which are currently hovering around seasonal norms across the country, are expected to decrease significantly (6-10 degrees) in the western parts of the country.

The wind is expected to blow from the north generally, and from the south in the south and east of the country, light to occasionally moderate, and strong with short-term storms (40-70 km/h) from the northeast in Marmara and the North Aegean, and locally strong (40-60 km/h) from the southwest in the east of Central Anatolia and the west of Eastern Anatolia.
