According to the latest assessments made by the General Directorate of Meteorology, for the next 24 hours: The country is expected to be partly to very cloudy, with downpours and thunderstorms expected across the Marmara (except Edirne and Kırklareli), Aegean, Mediterranean, Central Anatolia, Black Sea (except Sinop and Artvin), Eastern Anatolia (except Kars and Ardahan), and Southeastern Anatolia regions. The rainfall is expected to be heavy in the Aegean, the western parts of Eastern Anatolia, the Western Mediterranean, and Southeastern Anatolia, and locally very heavy and severe in the southern parts of the Coastal Aegean and the western coasts of the Western Mediterranean.
Air temperatures are expected to remain around seasonal norms in the western parts and 2-4 degrees above normal in the inner and eastern parts.
The wind is expected to blow from the north in the northwestern parts and from the south in other areas, light to occasionally moderate, and strong (40-60 km/h) in the Marmara and North Aegean regions.
YELLOW CODE WARNING FOR 18 PROVINCES, ORANGE CODE FOR 1 PROVINCE
On the October 28 warning map of the General Directorate of Meteorology, Adıyaman, Aydın, Burdur, Diyarbakır, Gaziantep, Mersin, Malatya, Mardin, Tunceli, Batman, Antalya, Bingöl, Denizli, Elazığ, Isparta, İzmir, Kahramanmaraş, and Şanlıurfa were shown with a yellow code. In Muğla, an orange code warning was issued in addition to the yellow code warning. Caution is advised against negative conditions such as floods, flash floods, lightning strikes, and disruptions in transportation in regions where heavy and locally severe rainfall is expected.
