Critical warning from the SSI to retirees: No declaration, no promotion!

The Social Security Institution (SSI) has announced an important change affecting SSK and Bağ-Kur retirees.

It was stated that if retirees do not submit the necessary document 10 days before their salary payment date, they will not receive the payment.

NEW PRACTICE

The SSI has announced that it has become mandatory for retirees to submit a declaration in order to receive promotion payments from banks. Under the new practice, promotion payments will not be made to retirees who do not submit a declaration.

PROMOTION PAYMENTS

According to the statement, promotion payments offered to retirees by public banks have been increased. This regulation covers 12.7 million retirees across Turkey, and payments will be made through banks.

It was stated that 3.3 million retirees could receive a promotion of 5 thousand liras if they apply to public banks. Retirees and beneficiaries who wish to benefit from the promotion payments will need to apply to the banks.

The SSI emphasized that the determined promotion amounts are minimums and that banks may increase these amounts according to their own policies. It was stated that developments regarding other banks will be shared in the coming days.

MUST BE SELECTED 10 DAYS BEFORE SALARY PAYMENT

Furthermore, it was stated that the promotions of retirees receiving salaries from public banks will not be updated automatically. It was noted that retirees who wish to benefit from the increased promotions must go to bank branches.

It was stated that retirees planning to change banks can perform this process via e-Devlet at the end of their contract and must select their new bank 10 days before their salary payment.
