Arrest request for Manifest founder Tolga Akış

Tolga Akış, the founder and manager of the famous music group Manifest, is appearing before a judge as part of an investigation conducted by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. It has been learned that the investigation is examining the group's clothing choices and stage performances at certain concerts under the allegation of “mediating the dissemination of obscene broadcasts.”

The referral document prepared by the prosecutor's office stated that various concert events of the Manifest group were organized by Tolga Akış and that the group's activities were delivered to large audiences through press and media outlets. The document drew attention to the risks that the presented content could pose to children and young people, emphasizing that Akış, as the producer and manager, is responsible for these broadcasts.

Furthermore, the prosecutor's office stated that the findings obtained constitute “strong suspicion of a crime” and that there are sufficient grounds for his arrest. A precautionary measure was requested regarding Tolga Akış within the scope of the relevant articles of the Turkish Penal Code.
