Ecem Erkek files lawsuit against former management agency over 'unfair commission' claims
Actress Cansu Ecem Erkek has taken legal action, stating that the former management agency with which she terminated her cooperation continues to collect commissions.
Actress Cansu Ecem Erkek has taken her dispute with her former management agency to court. Erkek, who is widely known for her "Naime" character, stated that she terminated her cooperation with Evren Yeşil Management, with whom she had a verbal agreement for the 2024-2025 period, on the grounds that the company failed to fulfill its obligations.
According to the report by Sabah, Erkek argued that there was no written contract between the parties; despite this, she claimed the company continued to appear on official documents and receive commission payments through her.
In the petition, it was stated that the verbal agreement was terminated for just cause and that she no longer has any ties to the company. The actress alleged that despite a formal notice being served, the former management agency continued to obtain unfair benefits and commissions.
In her application, Erkek requested that the contract clause, which she described as an infringement on artist rights, be removed from the text. It was reported that the lawsuit, which has been accepted by the Istanbul Intellectual and Industrial Property Rights Court, will begin to be heard in the coming days.
