A new development has occurred in the reopened investigation into the death of former National Intelligence Organization (MİT) officer Kaşif Kozinoğlu, who passed away in Silivri Prison in 2011.
According to a report by the Sabah newspaper, the screenwriters of the Kurtlar Vadisi series, Raci Şaşmaz, Bahadır Özdener, and Cüneyt Aysan, will be summoned to provide testimony. It was stated that the three individuals will testify in the capacity of "persons with information."
Kozinoğlu had lost his life in Silivri Prison while he was being held in custody as part of the Ergenekon investigations. It had previously been reported to the public that a new investigation had been launched into the file concerning his death.
The report noted that the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, during its investigations, identified parallels between certain scenes in the Kurtlar Vadisi Pusu series, which was airing at the time of the incident, and the death of Kozinoğlu.
