Autopsy process delayed: New statement from Ahu Tuğba's daughter

The funeral of famous actress Ahu Tuğba, who passed away in Miami, has not yet been brought to Turkey due to the extended autopsy procedures.

The autopsy process, which was initiated after the death of Tuğba, who was a COPD patient, was deemed suspicious, has caused delays due to legal requirements.

Anjelik Calvin spoke to "Kanal D Haber" about her mother's death and the subsequent process. Calvin described her mother's final moments and how the autopsy process is progressing, expressing the difficulties they have faced.

Anjelik Calvin explained what Ahu Tuğba said in her final moments as follows:

“My mother prayed, she said, ‘May God run to you too, my child,’ she said, ‘May God bring it before you.’ Then she said, ‘I want attention, I want a lot of attention.’ She acted like a two-year-old baby, she was about to fall asleep. I kissed her forehead and said goodbye.”

OFFICIAL PROCEDURES DELAYED

Calvin expressed her frustration over the delay in funeral procedures, stating that the authorities were insistent on the autopsy request:

“My mother had a respiratory device. The inspector told us that we needed to bring a death certificate. The police came at the time of death, they conducted their examinations and did not find any suspicious situation. However, I was suspicious because my mother's eyes were bloodshot. There was also blood on her pillow, so this death seemed strange to me.”

AUTOPSY TOOK ONE MONTH

Calvin explained why the autopsy process took so long with these words:

“In Florida, if you use an oxygen device at home and death occurs, it is recorded as a death related to the respiratory tract. That is why it was called a suspicious death. The autopsy procedures have been completed, but the report will be released next week.”
