The long-awaited announcement for the Survivor 2027 season has arrived. Producer and host Acun Ilıcalı shared the new season's contestant lineup and the changes to be made to the program's format with the public.
One of the prominent features of Survivor in the new season will be the captaincy system. Turabi Çamkıran and Ogeday Girişken, who both won championships in past seasons of the competition, will lead two separate teams in the 2027 season.
According to the information released, a total of 20 contestants will be divided into two groups of 10. While the contestants will struggle under island conditions, it was stated that the captains will not compete directly for the grand prize.
Another notable detail of the season is the grand prize. In Survivor 2027, contestants will compete for a prize of 10 million TL. It was stated that the cast is heavily composed of well-known figures from social media and the digital world.
A contestant seen in the promo with bandages on their face also became a trending topic on social media. The identity of the contestant, who appears to have undergone a new aesthetic procedure, has become one of the most curious topics following the announcement.
The first episode of Survivor 2027 will air on January 1, 2027, according to the announced schedule.
