The new head coach of the A National Football Team, Sergen Yalçın, is announcing the preliminary squad for the Belgium and France matches to be played in UEFA Nations League A Group 1.
At the press conference held at the Orhan Saka Conference Hall at the TFF Riva Hasan Doğan National Teams Camp and Training Facilities, the squad selections regarding the national team's November schedule are being shared with the public.
The Crescent-Stars will host Belgium in İzmir on Thursday, November 12, in the UEFA Nations League A. Following this match, the national team will travel to face France on Sunday, November 15.
HIGHLIGHTS FROM SERGEN YALÇIN'S STATEMENTS
"Since we took office, our 9 scouts have watched 43 matches live. We have received 64 reports regarding a pool of 50 players. Football is not just about numbers; we make the final decision, but we do not want to miss any details."
"Whoever deserves it will be here. I believe that every player who deserves it can easily wear the national jersey. We all have the same jersey and the same goal. Hopefully, it will be a national team that our country will be proud of."
"Please do not report negatively about the national team before we even start working. This is everyone's team. It is our national team."
"We have some young players who will be in the A National Team. In our meeting with Egemen Korkmaz, we decided to leave some of the players to the U21 National Team due to the importance of their match. They also have very important responsibilities. Turkey wants to be successful in every age category."
"Let's get the right information and report the news correctly. All of our players are very eager to come here. We had critical discussions with many players over the phone. There is absolutely no such player. All of our players are like diamonds. Showing things that do not exist as if they happened harms us. This is the people's national team. We are just the people in charge here."
"KENAN YILDIZ WANTED TO COME"
"Even though Kenan was injured, he wanted to come to the national team. We spoke with Juventus; they wanted his treatment to take place there quickly. We said okay. Normally, Kenan would have been here with us too."
"BERKE ÖZER WILL BE IN THE SQUAD"
"Problems can happen, these are young kids. Berke is dying to come to the national team. I don't think anyone has a problem with Berke. He will be in our squad."
