Bloody end at a wedding hall to a dispute that began on social media

The incident occurred in the evening hours in the Belkıs neighborhood of Serik district. It was learned that there had been previous exchanges between the two on social media, and Yıldırım and Tuncer encountered each other at a wedding they were both invited to.

Following an argument that broke out between them, former deputy mayor Ziya Yıldırım shot and wounded former municipal council member Hasan Ali Tuncer 3 times with a handgun he had brought with him.

Following the incident, 112 emergency health and police teams were dispatched upon notification. The wounded civil engineer Tuncer was taken to the hospital by ambulance after initial intervention. Despite all efforts made there, he could not be saved. 

Ziya Yıldırım, who is a former teacher and served as deputy mayor during the previous term, was apprehended and taken into custody.

While Tuncer's lifeless body was taken to the hospital morgue, an investigation into the incident has been launched.
