Debt dispute turns into armed brawl in Şanlıurfa
Baki Yıldırım lost his life in an armed brawl that reportedly broke out due to a debt issue in the Suruç district of Şanlıurfa.
A dispute broke out between two groups over a debt issue in the rural Yaylatepe neighborhood of Şanlıurfa's Suruç district. The argument, which began around 14:00, quickly escalated into an armed brawl.
Baki Yıldırım and Ahmet Ö. were wounded by gunfire during the fight. Upon notification, gendarmerie and medical teams were dispatched to the area. Medical personnel determined that Yıldırım had lost his life.
Ahmet Ö., who was seriously injured, was taken to Suruç State Hospital by ambulance. Yıldırım's body was taken to the morgue for an autopsy following the investigation at the scene.
While gendarmerie teams have taken security measures in the area, an investigation has been launched to identify and apprehend the individuals involved in the fight.
