Parked vehicle plunges into the sea in Silivri

A parked SUV at the Dalgakıran location in Silivri moved for an as-yet-undetermined reason and plunged into the sea. It was learned that, fortunately, no one was inside the vehicle during the incident.

The SUV, which was empty, was recovered from the sea after a 3-hour operation by emergency teams.

Emergency teams were dispatched to the scene following reports from local citizens.

Coast Guard, ambulance, fire department, and police teams were directed to the area. A lengthy rescue operation was launched to reach the vehicle, which had become completely submerged in the water.

RECOVERED IN 3 HOURS

Following approximately 3 hours of coordinated work, the vehicle that had fallen into the sea was removed from the water by the teams. While there were no casualties or injuries in the incident, an investigation has been launched into the cause of the vehicle falling into the sea.

The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
