Accusations from the Butlan administration against the NEW Party

The team of Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, who was brought to the CHP chairmanship by a court decision, has alleged that Özgür Özel and his aides, who previously left their party to lead a new political formation, took critical party member data with them. According to the claim, it is alleged that the departing mayors also called members in their own regions, exerting various pressures on them to resign from the CHP and join the NEW Party. It was further claimed that municipal employees were threatened with dismissal.

In statements made by officials, it was noted that, "Mayors who left the party are calling members in the provinces, pressuring them to resign from the CHP and become members of the NEW Party. If there are any municipal employees, they are threatening them with firing."

According to the allegations, the transfer of the party's member information was effective in the NEW Party reaching hundreds of thousands of members in a short time. It was claimed that the registration of approximately 100 thousand new members, particularly between August 24-26, was accelerated thanks to the existing old member data.
