Arrest request for DEM Party Tunceli Mayor

DEM Party Tunceli Co-Mayor Birsen Orhan went to the Tunceli Provincial Police Department this morning to provide a statement. Following her statement, Orhan was referred to court with a request for her arrest.

TRUSTEES HAD BEEN APPOINTED TO TUNCELİ AND OVACIK

Trustees were appointed to the DEM Party-run Tunceli and CHP-run Ovacık municipalities by a decision of the Ministry of Interior. Cevdet Konak, one of the Tunceli Co-Mayors, had been temporarily suspended from his duties as part of an investigation conducted on allegations of 'PKK membership'.

INVESTIGATION PROCESS CONTINUES

Following the appointment of trustees to the Tunceli and Ovacık municipalities, the investigation process regarding the mayors continues. Authorities stated that new evidence obtained within the scope of the investigation is being meticulously evaluated.
