As discussions regarding the fund crisis continue, a new statement has come from the YENİ Party.
YENİ Party İzmir Deputy Ümit Özlale, in his statement at the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), stated that the questions they previously directed to Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz remained unanswered, and he disclosed allegations regarding two ministers and a relative of a minister.
Asserting that they do not share any information with the public for which they do not have documentation, Özlale brought to the agenda transactions in which he claims the names of Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat and Hasan Özdemir, the father of Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş, are mentioned.
“DOES THE 170 MILLION LIRA TRANSACTION BELONG TO MINISTER BOLAT?”
Referring to the statement made by Minister of Trade Ömer Bolat regarding his investments within Hedef Yatırım Portföy, Özlale requested that a new transaction be clarified.
Özlale claimed that a 170 million lira transaction, specified with MKK transaction number 29289013 at Hedef Portföy, belongs to Bolat.
Stating, “As the YENİ Party, we do not disclose anything for which we do not have documentation,” Özlale shared the MKK number related to the transaction in question with the public and demanded a detailed explanation from Minister Bolat.
Özlale requested that the source and nature of the transaction be explained, saying, “I am telling you the number of the document.”
830 MILLION LIRA ALLEGATION REGARDING GÖKTAŞ'S FATHER
The second transaction brought to the agenda by Özlale concerned Hasan Özdemir, the father of Minister of Family and Social Services Mahinur Özdemir Göktaş.
Asking whether Hasan Özdemir had conducted transactions in PHE and PRY funds, Özlale shared the MKK number 23542284 related to one of the transactions with the public.
Özlale claimed that Hasan Özdemir, or someone else on his behalf, carried out a total of 830 million lira in transactions in the funds in question.
Asserting that this allegation is also supported by documents, Özlale demanded an explanation from Minister Göktaş.
“A MINISTER MAKING AN INVESTMENT IS NOT A CRIME IN ITSELF”
In his statement, Özlale also emphasized that public officials making investments does not constitute a crime in itself.
Stating that the issue that needs to be discussed is whether privileged transactions were made in the alleged operations and whether information obtained due to public duty was used for personal gain, Özlale said that public officials should be transparent regarding their financial transactions.
Noting that thousands of investors are waiting for the fate of their money in the funds, Özlale expressed that people holding public office should also make statements to the public regarding their own transactions.
“ERDOĞAN HAS THE FULL LIST ON HIS DESK”
Özlale claimed that in addition to Fatma Betül Sayan Kaya and Mustafa Yazıcı, the son of AKP Deputy Chairman Hayati Yazıcı, who had previously come to the agenda in the fund crisis, there are other names involved.
Arguing that some names would not have come to the public's attention if it were not for the YENİ Party's follow-up, Özlale alleged that the “full ordered list” of people he claims were involved in the fund transactions is in front of AKP President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Özlale claimed that Erdoğan has not shared the list in question with the public and that his associates are being protected.
MONDAY DEADLINE FOR ERDOĞAN
Özlale called on President Erdoğan to take action regarding the AKP leg of the fund crisis.
Requesting that Erdoğan share the full list of names alleged to be involved in the fund crisis with the public by Monday, Özlale said that otherwise, the YENİ Party will make new disclosures.
