Call for a new constitution from the Palace to the opposition!

Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz participated in the Başkent Kulisi program broadcast on Kanal 7, where he made significant assessments regarding Turkey's foreign and domestic policy. Yılmaz emphasized the importance of national unity and solidarity in international relations, stating that the opposition should adopt a more constructive stance, particularly in foreign policy.

Cevdet Yılmaz said, "You may be the opposition, but on national issues, it is necessary to empower the country's leader. Foreign rhetoric brought into domestic politics harms Turkey."

HE TOUCHED UPON F-35 AND F-16 NEGOTIATIONS WITH THE US

Yılmaz also clarified the ongoing F-35 and F-16 negotiations with the US. Stating that the issues are being handled within a positive framework and that steps will be taken in line with the mutual interests of the two countries, Yılmaz expressed that actions will be taken while safeguarding Turkey's interests throughout this process.

INFLATION AND NEW HOUSING PROJECTS

Describing the update made to the Medium-Term Program as a routine revision, Yılmaz set the year-end inflation forecast at around 30 percent. He also stated that they aim to bring inflation down to single digits by 2027.

In response to rising rent prices, Yılmaz announced that new housing projects are being prepared and that these projects will be disaster-resistant, energy-efficient, and cost-effective. It was stated that the goal is to achieve balance in the market with these new projects.

COMMISSION WORK FOR TURKEY'S DEMOCRACY

Yılmaz also mentioned the commission established in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) and stated his belief that this process will increase Turkey's level of democracy and prosperity. Calling for common sense from all parties against potential provocations regarding the disarmament process, Yılmaz expressed that this process will contribute to the peaceful environment in the country.

CALL TO THE OPPOSITION FOR THE NEW CONSTITUTION PROCESS

Speaking about the new constitution process, Yılmaz stated that Turkey deserves a new and civilian constitution. Yılmaz emphasized that a simpler, future-oriented constitution should be prepared with the contribution of all parties in Parliament. Yılmaz said, "Our nation deserves a new constitution in the Century of Turkey. We invite the opposition to contribute to this process as well."

Stating that a new constitution should be drafted with the broadest consensus under the roof of Parliament, Yılmaz made a call to the opposition. Cevdet Yılmaz used the following expressions:

"Come, you too put forward your proposals and your perspective. Let us bring a new constitution to our country with the broadest consensus. Our nation deserves this in the Century of Turkey," he said.
