Cold shower for Kılıçdaroğlu from a poll of CHP voters! YENİ Party leaves its mark on the results

Two months after the absolute nullity crisis within the CHP, a new era has begun in Turkish politics.

Özgür Özel and 90 deputies resigned from the CHP to form the YENİ Party. While the YENİ Party became the main opposition party in the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM), the CHP, which fell to 44 deputies, dropped to the position of the 5th party in Parliament.

As the YENİ Party shifts the balances in the TBMM, the voting preferences of citizens have also become a subject of curiosity.

The latest poll results shared by Prof. Dr. Behçet Yalın Özkara revealed striking data regarding the current tendencies of voters who previously cast their ballots for the CHP.

In the study, 8,214 people identified as having voted for the CHP were asked the question, "If there were an election today, who would you vote for?" According to the shared results, 77.5 percent of the participants chose the "YENİ Party" option.

The tendencies of the 22.5 percent who did not answer "YENİ Party" were also evaluated separately. While 32.2 percent of this group stated that they would not vote if an election were held today, 29.8 percent said they would prefer the Zafer Party.

In the same subgroup, the rate of those who stated they would vote for the CHP again was recorded at 9.2 percent. This rate corresponds to approximately 2.1 percent of the total 8,214 CHP voters who participated in the poll.
