Decay at the torn threshold of the impossible: The 'Justice' of lawlessness in the fund crisis

We have experienced everything we called "impossible" one by one. Everything we said could not happen, has happened. In the end, we have been turned into exiles in our own homes, in these lands where we were born and raised, which we call our homeland; we have become alienated from our own country.

Yet our journey had begun with our human needs…

We Were Torn From Our Land, Poisoned

Our forests, seas, water resources, plateaus, and pastures; in short, every inch of land we breathe on has been left to the mercy of capital. We have experienced plunder, from the looting of mines and forests to the burying of natural wonder bays in concrete, from the destruction of plateaus under the guise of tourism to the poisoning of our waters with heavy metals. We have experienced the selfishness that kicks the rebellion of those who died waiting for days to be rescued under rubble in earthquakes, those buried alive in mining disasters, and their relatives. We have felt the pain of those who suffer to our very bones.

Our bank accounts have been infiltrated through digital networks. We have witnessed the marketization of hospitals, schools, and all public spaces; from the horror of the 'Newborn Gang' to the turning of vocational high school students into cheap labor. We were left in the midst of a heartlessness that sells tents to earthquake victims and makes us forget missing children; we mourned our dead.

Degenerating Institutions, Divided Society

In this deepening, heavy picture, we have been forgotten on a public and social level.

We have become victims of a system where those who hold office, power, and money through fake diplomas and unearned titles prevail. We have been torn from our future in the shadow of academic ethics and meritocracy. We have been so polarized that we have longed for sincerity, a smiling face, and the truth. Pressure and threats have replaced the freedom to be informed: we have been locked into the unfair practices of the "available for the crony, not for the citizen" mentality.

Step-by-Step Siege

We watched the rise of luxury, stretching from small ships to fleets, from a single ring to villas. We saw the exhaustion of the army's prestige through the Ergenekon, Balyoz, and Espionage plots; the exhaustion of politics through unsealed ballots, appointed trustees, and political arrests; and the exhaustion of the state through meritless appointments. We have been torn from reason and science through the practices of infinite freedom granted to sects and religious communities.

Loneliness in the Shadow of Masked Rhetoric

We have been divided by concessions granted to terror hubs under the mask of peace and democracy rhetoric. We have experienced the sight of Greek flags waving on Aegean islands and the abandonment of Cyprus as it is turned into the backyard of regional powers.

Finally, we have been left to the mercy of those who turn a blind eye to the emptying of funds under state guarantee and the evaporation of the savings of millions.

Carrot or Stick?

Those who preach about law and justice, instead of holding corruption to account, have created a new 'judicial bargain.' They have set a threshold for gains obtained through plunder; they announced that unfair gains over 10 million liras must be returned, and that legal action will be taken against those who do not return them.

Let us ask: Is an unfair gain under 10 million liras not considered unfair gain? If the new lower limit for crime and fraud is 10 million liras, will a former minister who deposited 160 million liras and withdrew 2.2 billion liras be cleared?

What Will We Wake Up To Tomorrow?

In the depth and destructiveness of everything that has happened, will we wake up tomorrow to witness that bank vaults have been emptied, or that our assets in e-Devlet have been zeroed out, or will we be awakened by security teams knocking on our doors for a crime we have nothing to do with because of our leaked data?

In a world where professions are practiced with the identities of citizens who died in earthquakes, where million-lira judicial bargains are made, and where Epstein scandals run rampant, which disaster will we look at as "impossible" anymore?

The Key Is Within Us: National Memory and Self-Power

Let us not say, "A column cannot be this pessimistic"; let us see the corruption created by the torn threshold of the impossible. Let us remember our National War of Independence, which was achieved in favor of its nation and was impossible to believe in.

Let us never give way to imperialism, which has its eyes on our tomorrows, its local collaborators, lies, plunder, and corruption. The key to success is hidden in the 'impossible'; but not in the impossible that burns, destroys, and annihilates humans and humanity, which we have conveyed throughout this article; but in the impossible that desires the good, the true, and the beautiful for humanity, and moves forward with national memory and self-power...

The key to success is not far away, but near; not in the complex, but in the simple; not in the unknown, but in the known; not in the abstract, but in the concrete.

And that which is near, simple, known, and concrete is exactly within us, with us...

Do not forget, do not let it be forgotten!
