Dilipak takes the Kurdish signage debate to another level: 'Let's write in Bulgarian in Edirne'
Islamist writer Abdurrahman Dilipak has entered the debate over the removal of Kurdish traffic warning signs. Dilipak argued that even in Edirne, there should be signs and warning notices in Bulgarian.
The Peoples' Equality and Democracy Party (DEM Party)-run Batman Municipality's "Pêşî Peya/Pedestrians First" and "Hêdî (Slow)" warning signs on pedestrian crossings were erased yesterday by the General Directorate of Highways under police escort.
Municipal teams repainted the erased traffic warning signs on Diyarbakır Street.

Abdurrahman Dilipak said, "Let's also write in Bulgarian on signs in the regions of Edirne close to Bulgaria, and let Bulgarian also be an elective course in schools in that region. Let every people live their language, religion, and faith. Let's not just discuss this through the Kurds."
Dilipak's remarks drew reactions on social media.
