Erdoğan holds talks with Putin
President Erdoğan discussed bilateral relations, the Alaska summit, and developments regarding the peace process in a phone call with Russian President Putin.
A phone call took place between AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Russian President Vladimir Putin. During the call, the reflections of the Alaska summit and Turkey-Russia relations, particularly cooperation in the field of trade, were discussed.
Erdoğan emphasized that Turkey has been striving for a just peace since the beginning of the war, stating that they support initiatives aimed at establishing a lasting peace with the participation of all parties.
Putin, for his part, drew attention to the "Istanbul Process" and thanked Turkey for hosting the peace talks and playing an active role in this process.
At the end of the meeting, Erdoğan and Putin reached a mutual consensus on maintaining dialogue and cooperation between the two countries.
