'RED BOOK' UPDATED
According to NTV, the update of the National Security Policy Document, known as the state's "secret constitution" or the "Red Book," is on the agenda of the MGK. In this context, proposals from relevant ministries and institutions were discussed in detail during a meeting held in December at the General Secretariat of the National Security Council, chaired by Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz. The final version of the document is expected to be finalized at today's meeting.
WHAT IS ON THE AGENDA?
In addition to the Red Book, important topics such as the new era in Syria, ceasefire efforts between Israel and Hamas, developments in the Eastern Mediterranean, and the latest situation in the Russia-Ukraine war will be addressed at the MGK meeting.
