CHP connection of Tengioğlu, who attacked Özel, revealed! He was receiving aid

The ugly attack yesterday added fuel to the fire of the recently rising tension on the political stage. CHP Chairman Özgür Özel, who attended the commemoration ceremony held for Sırrı Süreyya Önder at the Atatürk Cultural Center, was attacked by 66-year-old Selçuk Tengioğlu as he was leaving.

Following the attack, Özel stated, "I hold no grudge against anyone. We are doing our job. If attacks were going to intimidate us at this point, we would not have aspired to the chairmanship of the party that founded the republic by risking death."

Tengioğlu, about whom shocking details have emerged, said in his initial statement, "I had previously applied to the Republican People's Party for a food card, but they did not give me food because I was not a party member. Because of this, I had been angry for a long time. I was harboring the anger I had built up regarding the CHP calling young people to the streets. I left the apartment hotel where I was staying in Taksim, and I heard there was a program. When I went there, I didn't actually have the intention to attack, but as soon as I saw him, I couldn't control my temper."

Meanwhile, the final footage of Selçuk Tengioğlu at the hotel where he was staying in Beyoğlu before the attack has emerged. In the footage captured by the hotel's security camera, moments of Tengioğlu drinking tea and chatting with a hotel employee were seen.

IT TURNED OUT HE RECEIVED AID FROM THE CHP MUNICIPALITY

Finally, it was determined that Tengioğlu was receiving aid from the CHP-run Beyoğlu Municipality. According to details reported by Halktv, after applying to the municipality last February, Tengioğlu provided a house in the Çukur neighborhood as his address. It was stated that Tengioğlu was staying in this house with 4-5 other people. Social assistance researchers from the Beyoğlu Municipality held a meeting with Tengioğlu.

In his meeting with the teams, Tengioğlu declared his financial income as 0. It was reported that since that date, he has been receiving in-kind aid from the CHP-run Beyoğlu Municipality and has been benefiting from general health insurance.

According to the information obtained, Tengioğlu would go to the social market in Kasımpaşa every month and shop using the 200-point allowance granted to him monthly.
