Murat Ongun responds to 'effective remorse' claims! 'My conscience is clear, do not give credence to lies'

Some social media accounts and circles close to the AKP alleged that Medya A.Ş. executive Murat Ongun, who was arrested as part of the IMM investigation, had benefited from "effective remorse." Ongun issued a statement regarding these claims.

In his statement on his X account, Ongun used the following expressions: 

"I celebrate Father's Day for all fathers who carry a sense of justice in their hearts and are unjustly kept away from their children in prison.

On this occasion, do not give credence to the pathetic people who try to turn their lies into stories by citing non-existent page counts or statement durations.

We will settle accounts with these centers of evil in court. My conscience is clear, and I am fully aware that the reason for my arrest is political.

I will continue to fight from everywhere, including prison, to build a Turkey where justice, democracy, and prosperity prevail.
