Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş has joined the debates surrounding the Grand National Assembly of Turkey (TBMM) Group Meeting to be held by the CHP on Tuesday. Kurtulmuş made statements regarding the assessments on whether CHP Chairman Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu can speak at the group meeting.

Kurtulmuş stated that the current legislation is clear and expressed that there is no obstacle to the CHP Chairman speaking at his party's group meeting.

IT HAD BEEN ANNOUNCED THAT KILIÇDAROĞLU WOULD ATTEND THE GROUP MEETING

In a statement made by the CHP Headquarters, it was announced that Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu would give a speech at the CHP TBMM Group Meeting to be held on Tuesday, June 9.

Following this announcement, various assessments regarding how the meeting would take place and the procedures in Parliament had come to the agenda.

A STATEMENT HAD COME FROM MÜSLİM SARI

Müslim Sarı, who serves as the spokesperson for the Kılıçdaroğlu administration, also stated in his remarks yesterday that the group meeting would be held as planned.

In his statement, Sarı used the expressions, "Our Chairman, Mr. Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, will attend our Group Meeting in his capacity as chairman. Therefore, we will hold this meeting on Tuesday."

KURTULMUŞ: "THE LEGAL LEGISLATION IS CLEAR"

Evaluating the issue following the debates, Parliament Speaker Numan Kurtulmuş pointed to the provisions of the legislation.

Kurtulmuş said, "The legal legislation is clear; the CHP Chairman can speak at his party's group meeting, there is no article to prevent this. We have to act accordingly."
