Reactions from the 'Butlan' management continue following Mansur Yavaş's resignation from the CHP

Following Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Mansur Yavaş's announcement that he has resigned from the CHP, criticism from the 'Butlan' management wing within the party continues. This wing, which argues that Yavaş did not clearly state his position even before his resignation, evaluated the decision to leave with harsh language regarding his political stance.

Ali Haydar Fırat, the communications coordinator for the 'Butlan' management, stated in a post on his social media account, "Those who leave the CHP have not left the CHP, but have left politics." Using the phrase "He has not left the CHP; he has effectively left politics" for Yavaş, Fırat argued that Yavaş can no longer be the joint candidate of the opposition.

It is noted that there is resentment within 'Butlan' management circles over Yavaş's failure to take a clear stance while remaining in the CHP throughout the process. It is also stated that there is hurt within this wing specifically because he did not attend the CHP's September 9 anniversary events. The view highlighted by figures close to Kılıçdaroğlu is the approach that "No one is above the CHP. People leave, the party remains."

According to the report by Cumhuriyet, the YENİ Party wing emphasized that they respect Yavaş's decision. Reminding that they have stated since the new party process began that no mayor would be forced to leave or join, party officials noted that mayors are obligated to serve the places where they were elected.

YENİ Party sources commented, "We respect whatever Mr. Mansur does. If he wants to come, he comes; if he wants to remain independent, he remains." The same sources conveyed that candidacy discussions are premature at this stage and that Yavaş has stated he will continue to serve Ankara independently.
