Access ban on some digital platforms
While a new access ban has been issued for Sendika.Org's account on the X platform citing "national security" and "protection of public order," the news website Numedya24 has been blocked from access in Turkey without any stated reason.
Sendika.Org's account on the social media platform X has been hit with an access ban for the second time for the same reasons. Authorities announced the decision by citing "national security" and "protection of public order." The account in question remains accessible from Turkey via the X platform. A similar blocking decision was previously issued on October 8, 2025, but it was not implemented at that time either.
On the other hand, the Information and Communication Technologies Authority (BTK) announced that access to the news website named Numedya24 has been blocked. In the announcement made via the BTK's official website, without specifying any reason, the statement "numedya24.com has been blocked from access by the decision of the Information and Communication Technologies Authority dated 01/07/2026 and numbered 490.05.01.2026.-748333" was included.
