Artificial intelligence applications in sports to be supported with sensor technologies
TÜBİTAK will provide support to companies developing artificial intelligence, sensor technologies, and augmented and virtual reality applications in sports as part of the "BİGG SPORTS Awards Program."
In collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, TÜBİTAK is organizing the "BİGG SPORTS Awards Competition" with the aim of generating new knowledge in sports and all sports-related fields, developing innovative approaches, supporting technological entrepreneurship, and increasing awareness in the field of sports technologies.
Through the program, sports technology products that are creative, innovative, possess technical excellence and competitive features, and contribute to original national technological accumulation will be awarded and introduced to the public.
During the competition process, panels addressing developments in sports technologies will be held, and events where contestants can meet with mentors and investors will be organized. A total of 4.5 million lira in prize money and a BİGG SPORTS Award Certificate will be given to a maximum of 5 companies determined as a result of the competition jury's evaluation.
Within the scope of the program, applications will be accepted in the fields of localization of imported sports equipment, augmented and virtual reality applications in sports technologies, sports-related statistics and big data analysis applications, artificial intelligence applications in sports, sensor technology, training technologies, and individual and team tracking analysis systems.
DEADLINE IS OCTOBER 31
The deadline for applications to the competition has been set for October 31. The preliminary evaluation will take place in November, and the final evaluation and award ceremony will be held in December.
Products that have previously received an award from the BİGG Sports Awards Competition cannot be submitted again.
