Motorcycle helmets are getting smarter: AI-powered helmet unveiled at CES 2025!

Helmets, one of the most important pieces of protective equipment for motorcycle riders, are becoming smarter. Intelligent Cranium Helmets introduced its AI-powered motorcycle helmet, named the IC-R, at CES 2025. Showcased at the fair in Las Vegas, this innovative helmet aims to increase rider safety while also reducing dependence on smartphones.

240-DEGREE FIELD OF VIEW

One of the most striking features of the helmet is that it offers a wide field of view of up to 240 degrees. This eliminates the need for riders to turn their heads to check blind spots. By providing a forward-focused riding experience, it prevents accidents caused by distraction.

In addition, an action camera with a 120-degree angle placed on the front of the helmet provides a total wide field of view of up to 300 degrees. This allows riders to easily track all movements around them.

AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY CALL

The collision detection system in the helmet automatically calls 911 if the rider remains motionless for 15 seconds following a fall or accident. This feature plays a life-saving role in critical moments by ensuring emergency services reach the scene quickly.

Equipped with technology similar to the proximity warning systems used in modern vehicles, the helmet helps reduce the risk of collision, especially in heavy traffic, by warning the rider when they drift out of their lane or when vehicles approach from the sides. The HUD (heads-up display) located inside the helmet prevents distraction by providing real-time information to riders. This screen presents important details such as navigation and speed information at eye level.

Advanced Bluetooth and network communication systems offer riders three different communication modes, eliminating distance restrictions and allowing them to stay connected anywhere. The helmet's voice command feature is also noteworthy; for example, with the command "Hey, record my ride," riders can record their journeys in high resolution. This eliminates the need for external devices.

Although the current battery capacity of the helmet has increased its weight somewhat, the Intelligent Cranium Helmets team continues to optimize the design. The company aims to reduce the weight of the helmet from 3.7 kilograms to 3.3-3.4 kilograms, which will further increase riding comfort. The helmet, which is currently available for pre-order, is priced starting from 650 dollars up to 1,850 dollars.
