Apple's long-awaited move to bring a touchscreen to the MacBook Pro series has arrived with the new models. Offered in 14.2-inch and 16.3-inch screen sizes, the new MacBook Pros stand out with their OLED-based PROLED XDR displays, M5 Pro and M5 Max processor options, Dynamic Island, and new AI-focused features.
The announced starting price in Turkey is 199,999 TL for the 14-inch MacBook Pro and 234,999 TL for the 16-inch MacBook Pro. It was noted that the final price will vary depending on processor, memory, and storage preferences. Pre-orders for the new models are scheduled to open on October 28, with deliveries and in-store sales set to begin on November 6.

SCREEN AND TOUCH EXPERIENCE
On the new MacBook Pros, users can scroll through pages, zoom in on photos, draw, and move three-dimensional objects directly on the screen. Apple's decision to bring the touchscreen feature—which it had long avoided on Mac computers—to its laptops with this series stands out as one of the most notable changes in the product family.

It is reported that the PROLED XDR display uses Tandem OLED technology and can reach a peak brightness of up to 2,000 nits and a contrast ratio of 10,000,000:1 for HDR and SDR content. While the full-screen sustained brightness value reaches up to 1,000 nits, the refresh rate can vary between 10 Hz and 120 Hz with ProMotion technology. Support for P3 and Adobe RGB color gamuts also targets professional workflows such as photo editing, print design, and video production.
Dynamic Island, familiar from iPhone models, has also been brought to the new MacBook Pro. Users can access functions such as Spotlight search, live activities, and Siri AI through this area; tasks such as music control, answering calls, and accepting AirDrop requests can also be performed from this section.

On the performance side, the models come with M5 Pro and M5 Max processors. While the M5 Pro features up to 18 CPU cores and up to 20 GPU cores, the M5 Max offers an 18-core CPU and up to 40 GPU cores. Unified memory can be configured up to 64 GB on models with the M5 Pro processor and up to 128 GB on M5 Max options. The upper limit for storage has been announced as 16 TB.
It is stated that the new processors are designed for working with large files, professional video editing, three-dimensional graphics, and on-device AI processing. Neural Accelerator units in the GPU cores aim to accelerate AI tasks.

Apple states that it offers up to 24 hours of battery life in the new MacBook Pro models. It is stated that with fast charging support, the battery can be charged up to 50 percent in 30 minutes. Connectivity options include three Thunderbolt 5 ports, HDMI, an SDXC card slot, a MagSafe charging port, and a headphone jack. The N1 wireless chip provides Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 support.
External display support varies depending on the processor option: M5 Pro models support three external displays, while M5 Max models support four. The devices also feature a six-speaker sound system, Dolby Atmos support, and a 12-megapixel Center Stage camera.
The new MacBook Pros will be offered with the macOS 27 Golden Gate operating system. It is stated that Siri AI can help find emails, photos, and notes, perform actions within applications, and prepare text by leveraging personal context. Visual Intelligence allows users to ask questions about content on the screen. Although there is Turkish support for Apple Intelligence, Turkish is not among the supported languages announced for Siri AI; Siri AI is planned to be offered as a beta in the macOS 27.2 version.
