We previously shared with you that astronauts had dropped their tool bag during a spacewalk, causing it to be lost in the vacuum of space. Fortunately, a newly shared image shows that the tool bag has appeared without any unfortunate incidents, such as a collision with a satellite. The lost astronaut tool bag appears as a small white speck in the released image.

THE TOOL BAG IS SURROUNDED BY FAINT LIGHT FROM STARS

The Virtual Telescope Project released an image of the tool bag lost by astronauts during their spacewalk on November 1. The image was captured on Wednesday by one of the facility's robotic telescopes located in Manciano, Italy, using a single 2-second exposure.

According to the report in Chih, the telescope tracked and detected the bag as it traveled in Earth's orbit at speeds reaching 28 thousand kilometers per hour. In the image, the bag appears as a lonely dot in the vast emptiness of space, surrounded only by faint streaks of light from a few surrounding stars.

The tool bag was lost during a spacewalk conducted by Jasmin Moghbeli and Loral O'Hara outside the International Space Station and accidentally drifted into an unreachable location.

However, like the International Space Station, it is currently orbiting Earth at a similar speed. The bag in orbit will likely continue to remain in orbit for a few more months before losing altitude and disintegrating in Earth's atmosphere. Furthermore, it does not currently pose a threat to the International Space Station or the astronauts in its current orbit.
