In Fenerbahçe, which finished the Super Lig in second place with 99 points and ended the season without a trophy, all eyes have turned to the elective general assembly in June.
Candidates have begun to announce their election promises for the congress, where current president Ali Koç and former president Aziz Yıldırım will compete.
Aziz Yıldırım, who announced that he has been in talks with Jose Mourinho for the managerial position, also plans to make 3-4 quality additions to the squad.
According to a report by Sabah, Yıldırım and his team have reached a major agreement with Romelu Lukaku, with whom they have been in talks for some time.
The report stated that the "Jose Mourinho card" was effective in convincing the 31-year-old experienced footballer.
The Belgian striker reportedly said "Yes" in principle to the offer without much hesitation once it was stated that the Portuguese coach, who previously managed him at Roma, Manchester United, and Chelsea, would be brought in to lead the team.
It was noted that negotiations with the player's club, Chelsea, are still ongoing.
It was also learned that in addition to Lukaku, Aziz Yıldırım is in negotiations for a right-back from England and is continuing his contacts for the number 10, defensive midfielder, and center-back positions.
