Galatasaray's Champions League earnings revealed

Galatasaray, which participated directly in the group stage of the UEFA Champions League this season, has secured a significant income both in terms of sporting success and financial gain. Thanks to the prize distribution determined by UEFA, the yellow-reds finished 20th among the 36 teams, advanced to the round of 16 play-offs, and filled their coffers.

Having already secured 18.62 million Euros just for participating in the tournament, Galatasaray earned a total of 6.3 million Euros for the three victories it collected from eight matches, and 0.7 million Euros for one draw. Thanks to its overall success in the league phase, it became entitled to a prize of 5.08 million Euros.

Galatasaray's share of the broadcast pool revenue received from UEFA was calculated at 8.41 million Euros. Additionally, 2.42 million Euros were added to the club's coffers from the budget allocated according to UEFA club coefficients. The fact that it will compete in the round of 16 play-offs increased the club's revenue by 1 million Euros, bringing the total earnings to 42.53 million Euros.

REVENUE IN ADVANCING ROUNDS OF THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE

If Galatasaray continues its journey successfully in the European arena, it will encounter new rewards financially. The yellow-reds, who will earn an additional 11 million Euros if they pass the round of 16, will receive 12.5 million Euros if they reach the quarter-finals, 15 million Euros if they advance to the semi-finals, and 18.5 million Euros if they reach the final. The champion will also be the owner of an additional 6.5 million Euro prize.

Looking at the prize distributions for this season, the participation fee and performance revenues are listed as follows:
